Only shot a few times so far but have two big trips coming up next two weeks. So far so good. Love the look and feel. Very easy to adjust. Only took a few shots to tune in. Slap shoots great without worrying about string coming off cam. Great jobs AMS

  2. Question

    Jake Harville

I recently purchased a Hooligan bow, I love the thing to death, the only problem I have is that when the arrow hits the water, it goes straight down. I don’t know how to fix this. I tried tightening the draw weight but it hardly turns when I try to. Is there anything that I can do or is this a regular problem?

Hi Jake, some of the things that could be causing this to happen is that the nockpoint or the arrow rest is not adjusted correctly. The other thing that we see happen sometimes is that the arrow is nocked upside down. When nocking the arrow make sure that the Safety Slide is in front of the rest and the shock pad is facing up so that it doesn’t interfere with the rest on the shot. If you are still having problems please give the office a call at 888-541-7657 and we will be happy to help you troubleshoot.

Just ordered the hooligan kit. Hot this week in illinois. Wondering if the heat will affect the limbs during shipping or being in the truck for an hour or two on the way to fish

  4. Question

    Justin Foster

How can I adjust the draw length on my new hooligan? 32″ is a bit much for me & it definitely strains the ole arm having to hold it in place instead of completely pulling it back. Thanks!

      AMS Bowfishing

Hey Justin, since there is no let off there isn’t any way to set the draw length. If your arms are becoming strained you could either take quicker snap shots or you could turn the draw weight down. I hope this helps!

  5. Question

    Justin Foster

So it’s a Max draw length of 32″. Is there not a way to adjust that down?

Hi Justin, this bow is meant for snap shooting. That means that you can shoot at any point during the draw and that you do not need to come to full draw before you shoot your arrow. Because of this anyone can shoot this bow but the draw length is maxed out at 32 inches. There is no adjustment need with this bow.

If you are right handed and right eye dominant, you would need a right handed bow. You hold the bow with the left hand and draw with the right.

It’s likely not listed because it is a new bow for 2019. We will get it listed on the website soon when it’s stocked. You can always give us a call at 888-541-7657 or email sales@amsbowfishing.com.

Hey Dylan! Yes the bow does come set at the #40 setting. It is very easy to change over to the #50 setting if needed and best of all you don’t need a bow press.
