    E-Rad

    Dale Schofield

The Erad is my primary bow! With its smooth, consistent draw, I can full draw for deep targets. I can also short draw and snap shoot if over penetration is a problem or if I am in a big hurry. It’s a beautiful bow and has worked very well for me for several seasons now.

The Erad kits come with the arrow rest and reel assembled to the bow and it is ready to shoot. All you have to do is tie on the arrow.

Yes, String Things come installed on all Erad bows. You will need to install the nock point on a bare bow when the arrow rest is installed, but the String Things can be easily moved up or down the string where needed.

  8. Question

    David Brackmann

How many lbs. of draw do you recommend for shooting carp?

How do I determine draw length to suit my body. I am 6’4″ with long arms.

Hey David, bare minimum you sould bowfish with would be about 20 lbs. That being said you may not get the penetration necessary depending on water depth and what type of fish you are shooting. I personally keep my bow at around 45-50 lbs for bowfishing. You can get your draw length checked at most bow shops however most bowfishermen don’t worry about draw length since it is more common to snap shoot (not coming to full draw).

Hey Jorge, this bow can be used for both fresh and saltwater bowfishing. We do recommend that you rinse your bow off after use in saltwater to minimize corrosion caused by the salt.

  10. CLETUS

    GREAT BOW!

    CLETUS

Like all bows if you don’t have it set up right it’s not gonna shoot the best but once you get it set up there isn’t another bow like it. It has a smooth draw and shot. On top of that this will shoot darts. I would definitely recommend this bow to anyone.

    Hi8diver

I bought and are trying to figure out the E-Rad bow. It says you can adjust it from 30-60 lbs. Show me on the website were it has instructions? What is factory setting? Where is the adjusting nuts? How do you set the draw length?

      AMS Customer Service AMS Bowfishing

With your E-Rad Bow you should have received an allen wrench and a pamphlet that includes the warranty, instructions and maintenance information. One of the sections in the pamphlet is “Adjusting the Draw Weight” and describes how to use the allen wrench to lower the poundage on your bow. Almost all the bows in the industry are set at the highest draw weight. Most bows you will need to take into an archery shop the swap out cams on the bow to change the draw length. However, the E-Rad has a screw on each cam that you can remove and set which draw length you need without the need for a bow press.

    Smooth shooter

    Ty

With a draw weight range of 30 to 60 pounds it has any weight necessary for all types of Bowfishing. Smooth draw makes it a bow great for snap shooting or to hold with let off also

    Awesome bowfishing bow

    Darrell Perry

This is a very smooth and very well built bowfishing bow. I would have to say one of the hardest hitting bows on the market and to top it all off its built here in the USA by the best bowfishing company in the world, AMS bowfishing.

The Erad is a constant draw bow, so there is minimal let-off, approximately 20%
