Safty Warning
Arrow Snap Back Can Cause Serious Injury or Death! Snap-back can occur when line is tied to the tail of the arrow.

Pictures 1 & 2 show the loop on both sides of bowstring - Picture 3 shows the line tying itself to the cabling.
The most hazardous snap-back occurs when line is tied to the tail of an arrow. Upon release, a trailing loop of line can tie itself to the bowstring. This type of snap-back is not caused by the reel. It happens because the line is tied to the tail of the arrow.
- NEVER tie line to tail of arrow. Upon release there is a trailing loop of line that can tangle with the BOWSTRING, cabling, arrow rest or wrist watch causing serious injury or death.
- Always use a system (AMS Safety Slide or cabled arrow) to keep line in front of arrow rest.
- Always wet line before first shot by tossing arrow in water.
- Always wear eye protection.
Snap-back Occurance 04/14/02
This happened to Cory Smith of Alabama. He was using 400# Fast Flight Line and a 50-55# Oneida Bow. He has been bowfishing for over 15 years. According to his partner, he was always the one saying "I am very careful and have never had a problem" with tying the line to the tail of an arrow. We are thankful that Cory is all right and his injury was not more severe. We thank Cory for allowing us to use these photo's to promote safe bowfishing.
