this setup is by far the best one i have ever used....so simple to use and you very rarely lose arrows..i bow fish in p.a. and the fishing conditions aren't always the best, this thing takes a beating, to an extent its not invincible but damn close (Posted on 7/28/11)

buy an 808 and waste your time and money! i started bowfishing before this reel came along. I wish i had one from the start. easy and reliable, more fishing less downtime. Ive used them all and this is a far better product for us ruff and tumble bowfishers. Worth every hard earned dime.

This reel is the real deal!!! I have shot over 200 fish already this year. It is so easy to use it took me ten minutes to put it on my bow. I thought I liked my 808, but my 610 is where its at!!! hands down best on the market. Its worth every penny. I love the new features it has that the original doesnt. It is LEGIT!!!! I have bowfished for years, keeping everything simple,so I thought. For years I used the spool designs with great success but didnt realize how much messing around you actually have to do to ensure a good, tangle free, shot.

Recently I purchased the AMS 610 and I dont know why I didnt buy one along time ago. These retrievers are the cats (you no what). Spend the money because with this product you really get what you pay for. (Posted on 4/4/09)

The AMS Retriver Pro Reel brings all of the good from the original Retriever, then pushes it up another level. The adjustments, ease of installation, use, and maintenance makes this reel a necessary edition to any bowfishermans arsenal. Installation and setup took me about 10 minutes from opening the original package.

Bei-ng able to adjust the height and position of the reel was the key to this reel being the only system I'll ever dare put on my bow. Theres no need for me to move my hand or switch up my grip on my bow anymore. I just reach one finger over and pull the trigger back with the same hand thats holding my bow grip, then start to reel. With just a few minutes of practice I had seemless transitions from firing my shot to bringing in my fish.

this is a very effective reel i have the sight to go and i can shoot fish 30 yrds away accuratly one this wrong is i cant figure out how to get it on my old bow the riser is to offset

Thanks AMS for the great new features on the Retriever Pro!!! The quiver is a slick addition that, now that I have it, I can't live without. The adjustable mount made it fit my trigger finger perfectly. A great product that makes our bowfishing better!!!
