I have bowfished for about 18 years and know many other bwfishermen. I have heard from several others that they still tie off to the rear of the arrow and have not had any problems. I too have tied off at the back for many years with no problems BUT I will never do it again or recommend that anyone else do it. The one time that a snap back occurs is one to many. Please be safe and use the SLIDES or other methods.
