If you are fishing with your regular hunting bow modified for bowfishing, stop doing that right now and pick up this kit. What a difference the right equipment makes. Before when I was using my deer bow it was alot of effort to get off a shot because I had the wrong rest, the draw was 70 pounds, I had a spool style reel that line would just fall off of etc. etc. With the fully outfitted Fishhawk I can let the arrows fly and make the fish soon to fry!!! P.S. I ate gar for the first time last night, first fish taken with my new kit. Very tasty. Don't knock it till you've tried it. As for this bow set it ROCKS! Pure and Simple. (Posted on 5/11/09)

The AMS FishHawk was the bow that brought my first fish into the boat, and after trying some other bows it will be the last bow to bring fish into the boat. This bows single cam design with no let off allows for exceptional power in my shots.

Add an AMS Retriever Pro and an AMS Wave Rest and you have the ultimate setup. I lose very few fish thanks to the power and accuracy of the FishHawk. I've even managed to sink an arrow so deep into a log I had to drag the log into the boat and take it home to remove my arrow tip from it.

I would recommend this bow to anyone from beginner to professional. It is safe and strong enough to withstand the accidental dry fires and drops from a beginner. It is also powerful enough to shoot deep fish, big fish, and reliable enough to shoot all night without an issue.
